Carolyn moved from Geelong, Victoria in 2002 to settle in Mandurah.
A milliner by trade she moved into stage and costume design for Calisthenics and theatre productions.
Carolyn joined the Meadow Springs Art Club in 2005 and more recently the Mandurah Plein Air Artists where she enjoys painting with like-minded people.
She is a self-taught realist painter; her preferred mediums are pastel and oil.
Artistic Societies provide the chance to participate in workshops and these have given her more technical knowledge and understanding of the concepts of different mediums that has enhanced her artistic skill set.
Carolyn paints for her own satisfaction and if others find value in her work that adds significantly to the enjoyment that painting brings.
