Lisa Wray has been a long-standing member of the Mandurah Plein Air Artists, experiencing nature in all its seasonal glory, colours, textures, light and diverse patterns.
Driven by these, she loves to paint and texturally recreate areas that have lots of textured patterns in them.
Lisa enjoys seeing the light shining on areas of the environment that she does not always get to see every day, and it is what she uses to inspire her artworks.
Her abstract birds eye view style looks at the anomalies of the environment and she uses these to create a variety of unusual characteristics in her abstract plein air paintings. She uses these in her larger artworks to create interesting talking points and depth of character.
