‘OUT OF THE SUITCASE’ JUDY ROGERS

“Out of the Suitcase” investigates the idea of “home” from the local and domestic to the wider global issue of migration, through mixed media floor and wall installations on wooden panels. Judy Rogers (Wiesenfarth Judit) is an award-winning artist who was born in Budapest and has lived and worked in Western Australia since 1995. She is an active participant of the Australian art scene and her works can be found in public and private collections in Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, France and Hungary. “When did I start to state ‘Australia’ when asked, detecting an accent “Where are you from?” Judy Rogers is arriving home from home with the suitcase.
