Leon Holmes is an award-winning Australian artist, lecturer and ambassador of plein air painting, specializing in the medium of oil.

Born and raised in Perth, he gained experience in a wide range of artistic fields including Printmaking, Graphic Design, Art Direction, Illustration and Photography. Since 2005 Leon has been a full time artist, busy teaching and exhibiting at art events around the world.

Being out and about is where Leon gets his daily inspiration, capturing the essence of natural light and colour.  His process involves sketches and quick oil studies on location that often become reference for larger studio pieces.
