Jo Wood is a printmaker and has only very recently begun painting in oils both en plein air and in the studio. These works were all begun outdoors and completed in the studio. Wood is attracted to figures in the landscape and signs of human activity. She loves the challenge and enjoyment of working outdoors and has quickly learnt it is best to prepare good initial sketches and notans to establish good design and composition before picking up a brush. Wood now finds she is using her plein air work as inpiration for new prints. She loves the Plein Air community in Mandurah, around Australia and around the world.
