Shelley Robins — Artist

Shelley Robins is a Mandurah artist who has a love of the outdoor and has developed a love of plein air painting. Since 2018 she has painted and sketched daily, developing a semi‑abstract style shaped by light, colour, and the shifting moods of the landscape. 

Travels around Australia and Europe have deepened her love of painting outdoors, where nature becomes both subject and collaborator.

Her work — which she describes as “This girl’s view” of our beautiful world — blends vibrant colour with intuitive mark‑making. While painting outdoors Shelley has enjoyed painting in Gouache but also enjoys, abstract and semi abstract painting. Working in acrylics, and oils, she continues to evolve her voice through a balance of plein air exploration and studio refinement.

Painting brings Shelley great joy, and she hopes her work offers viewers a sense of that same pleasure.
