Dawn started painting in acrylics at Atwell House with Gillian Peebles (Aitken) in late 1986.

After moving to the Mandurah area in 2005, Dawn pursued her love of art through the Meadow Springs Art Club taking up the medium of pastels, for its vibrancy. In early 2016 she became a member of the Mandurah Plein Air Artists Plus (Inc).
Dawn’s other mediums are watercolour and oil.

Her main interests are in painting seascapes and landscapes completing a number of works from the South coast of WA through to the Northwest.

Dawn has also studied and stitched the fine silk art of Japanese embroidery (Shuji Tamura) completing a number of delicate pieces.
